Nick Vujicic, a christian evangelist and motivational speaker, who was born without limbs, has announced the birth of his twin children.

Vujicic made the announcement on Facebook, sharing two photos showing the baby girls, and writing:

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission says the Founder and Chairman of Innoson Motors, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, allegedly hired six truckloads of thugs to attacks its operatives when they went to arrest him at his Enugu residence.

The Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, on Tuesday said that he did not have any opposition in the state.

In a statement made available to our correspondent by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Sam Onwuemeodo, the governor boasted that no reasonable Imo man or woman could come out in protest against him or his administration.

3 Kenyan Men Who Stole Bibles In Church Arraigned In Court (Photos)

Three men have been arraigned in court for breaking into a church and stealing Bibles in Kenya.

David Mwangi Wanjira, Peter Maina Kiburi and James Kamau Njeri were accused of breaking into Wings of Life worship Centre and committing felony in Muthaiga on December 1.

It is alleged that the accused stole 13 Bibles valued at Sh9,100 and two sufurias among other items totalling to Sh16,100 in value.

In the second and third counts, Peter Maina Kiburi was said to have been found with Bibles while his counterpart James Kamau Njreri was later found to have kept a sufuria which he knew was stolen. The accused denied the charges and were set free on Sh40,000 cash bail each or Sh40,000 bond.

The case will be heard on March 16,2018

Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has performed the ground-breaking ceremony of the Dangote Education for employment (E4E) job centre at Okpuala in Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area of the state.

The pilot project which is to be fully funded by Dangote Group, led by Alhaji Aliko Dangote, is aimed at providing a digital one-stop-shop for job seekers with services that include free employment consultancy.

Speaking at the event, Ikpeazu, who was represented by his deputy, Rt. Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu, applauded the Dangote group for selecting Abia State as one of the pioneer states for the corporate social responsibility project and called on other corporate organisations to emulate the group in giving back to the society.

He pointed out that his administration’s pledge to offer technical and vocational education training to 100,000 youths in the state has been given further boost with the project embarked upon by the Dangote Group.

“When we launched the E4E project we started by profiling unemployed youths in the state and created a database that identified their employment needs and then moved further to train the first batch to acquire relevant skills required by employers as well as the skills that will enable others to be self-employed. With the expected realisation of this job centre project we should be able to acquire additional capacity to place them and others who wish to be gainfully engaged.

“Our administration views job creation and skills development as necessary ingredients for our integrated economic development agenda as availability of relevant skill sets in our environment will naturally lead to more investment and further reduction in unemployment related criminal activities,” he said.

The governor promised not to leave any stone unturned in the effort to train and engage as many Abians as are willing to work, assuring that the new job centre facility will be replicated across the remaining 16 LGAs of the state.

He reiterated state government’s willingness to partner with private and public sector organisations for the common good of Abians and Nigerians in general.

In his address, the Chairman of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, who was represented by the Head of Compensation Benefits, Dangote Cement Plc, Mr. Charles Obera, said the job centre project is a demonstration of the commitment of the group towards human capital development in Nigeria and Abia State in particular and urged other corporate organisations, development partners and well-meaning Abians to rally round Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to support his “numerous laudable initiatives aimed at retraining the youths of the state by sponsoring at least one of the remaining 16 E4E Job Centres planned for other local governments areas of the state”.

The State Coordinator of the E4E programme, Chief Endi Ezengwa, stated that the setting up of job centers of international standard and the E4E programme are major development initiatives conceived and championed by Governor Ikpeazu from day one of his administration.

99-Year-Old Prisoner On Death Row In Enugu Prison With His Son (Photos)

A 99-year-old man identified as Celestine Egboluche from Imo State is arguably the oldest man in a Nigerian prison. Timaya Nominated For Grammy Awards For “Avrekedabra”, Morgan Heritage’s Album

King of afro-dancehall, Timaya, may become the first Nigerian-based act to win Grammy award, haven bagged a Grammy Nomination for featuring on Morgan Heritage’s album “Avrakedabra”.

The first Nigerian, though not based in Nigeria, who won an award at the Grammy was Cynthia Erivo, a singer and actress born in London to Nigerian immigrants.

Cynthia had won a Grammy for Best Musical Theatre Album for the cast recording of the musical The Color Purple in 2016.

However, Timaya who featured alongside Ghanaian Afro-pop singer, Stonebwoy, Chubb Rock, Stylo G, Bunji Garlin, Dre Zion & Jaheil on Morgan Heritage’s “Avrekedabra” may become the first Nigerian-based act to win the award if the album wins the category at the 60thGrammy Awards which will air live from the Madison Square Gardens on January 28, 2018.

Morgan Heritage is a reggae band formed in 1994 by five children of reggae artiste, Denroy Morgan. The band comprises Peter “Peetah” Morgan, Una Morgan, Roy “Gramps” Morgan, Nakhamyah “Lukes” Morgan, and Memmalatel “Mr. Mojo” Morgan.

“Avrekedabra” was nominated for the Best Reggae Album award and will slug it out with “Chronology” by Chronixx, “Lost in Paradise” by Common Kings, “Wash House Ting” by J Boog and “Stony Hill” by Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley.

Wizkid and Kah-Lo also got to the nomination in 2016 but failed to win any award.

The Federal Government says it has paid the whistle-blower that provided information which led to the recovery of N13bn from an Ikoyi apartment.

The money was recovered by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on 12 April , 2017.

It was gathered that the whistle-blower was paid N421m by the government, and his lawyer, Yakubu Galadima, confirmed the development on Wednesday.

Galadima lauded the government for paying the money and joked that his client did not run mad as insinuated in some quarters.

“My client confirmed to me that he had received a credit alert from the Federal Government. He traveled out of the country this morning (Wednesday morning),” the lawyer told Punch.

“He has been paid the first instalment but there were many tax deductions. Yes, we are happy. I will give you more details later but I can confirm now that he has received some money.

“As you can see, my client did not run mad as predicted by Prof. Itse Sagay.”

Yakubu Dogara, Speaker of the House of Representatives, in his biography written by Ovation publisher Dele Momodu, revealed a lot of politics that went on behind-the-scenes, The Cable reports.

The biography, titled “A Reed Made Flint,” and touches on how he came to be the speaker of the house of representatives, is set to be released on December 26, 2017.

Dogara reveals that the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu called him into a meeting in his bedroom asking him to end his campaign and support Femi Gbajabiamila, who represents Surulere federal constituency, Lagos State. He said:

As a matter of fact, Asiwaju (Tinubu) is someone that we respect very much and no one can doubt the sterling role he played in the emergence of APC as a government. Asiwaju had through emissaries sought audience with me and in deference to him I went to see him along with a colleague, then Right Honourable Kawu Sumaila. When we got to the Asiwaju, seasoned politician that he was, he asked us to come to his bedroom. We held this meeting in his bedroom!
He appealed to us and said what he only wanted, as a leader, as a political father, was for us to please collapse our campaign into Femi’s and declare our support for him. Asiwaju maintained that, as a matter of fact, support for Femi was a support for him. He said if we supported Femi by extension we were actually supporting him and reciprocating the work he did to ensure APC won the Presidency.

He said while he couldn’t turn Tinubu down, he had to find a way around it. He told Tinubu:

This has always been my stand, Sir. It was my stand when (Aminu) Tambuwal was running for the Speakership and I ran for the position for Deputy Speaker. Even when my bosom friends had told me clearly what was happening and I knew, as an experienced politician, that we were running into head winds.

I had seen clearly the implication that Tambuwal was favoured more than 80% to clinch the Speakership. But I insisted that I was going to run because the party had said they had zoned this position to the North-East and I wanted to make a statement that there were people from the North-East willing to contend for this position in the interest of our own people.

Even if I was going to lose the election, let the people from my zone know that yes, they had someone who, when the position was zoned to them, was ready and willing to stand up and be counted. I ran for that position to the end against someone I considered to be a brother and a very good friend on that principle. In this situation, we are already boxed into that corner.

The President is not from North-East, the Vice President is not from North-East, the Senate President wasn’t going to come from the North-East. If we from the North east now capitulate, we have not had anything serious apart from the position of the Vice President that Atiku once occupied. We have been excluded from this club of leadership in the country.

Since you have appealed to me as a father figure and I see you as a political father and as a mentor, a person we always ran to for advice really in the seventh assembly, and I still remember so many occasions I had to come here to seek assistance on behalf of others from you, I owe you the responsibility to listen to your appeal.

Biodun Fatoyinbo who is one of the most recognized ministers in Nigeria is known for his expensive lifestyle with his sense of style.

He however revealed that it wasn’t all rosy when he started his now thriving ministry.

According to Biodun Fatoyinbo, his ministry started in Ilorin and it was just him and his wife going from home to home looking for people to preach to.

He also recounts how all he had was one pair of trouser and how his wife’s shoes had holes in them.

Today, not only do they wear designer wears and shoes, they ride in the most expensive vehicles and pastor a world class church.

The Pastor acknowledges that even though he always knew God would reward them, he wouldn’t have been able to do it alone without his wife by his side.

Putin withdraws Russian Forces from Syria

President Vladimir Putin on Monday ordered Russian forces in Syria to start withdrawing, saying that after a two-year military campaign, Moscow and Damascus had achieved their mission of destroying Islamic State.

Putin made the announcement during a surprise visit to Russia’s Hmeymim air base in Syria’s Latakia Province where he held talks with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and addressed Russian military servicemen.

Russia first launched air strikes in Syria in September 2015 in its biggest Middle East intervention in decades, turning the tide of the conflict in Assad’s favor while dramatically increasing Moscow’s own influence in the Middle East.

The Kremlin said on its website that Putin gave the order for Russian forces to start withdrawing to their permanent bases in Russia.

“The task of fighting armed bandits here in Syria, a task that it was essential to solve with the help of extensive use of armed force, has for the most part, been solved and solved spectacularly.

“I congratulate you,’’ Putin told Russian servicemen gathered at the base.

He was also quoted as saying that Russia would keep the Hmeymim air base as well as a naval facility at the Syrian port of Tartous.

Tiwa Savage won the Most Stylish Female Artiste in Africa award at the  2017 Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards.

Many Tanzanians felt that Vanessa Mdee should have won the award, and when Tiwa posted the award on her Instagram, they proceeded to flood it with negative comments.
One user posted: "you are monkeys stealing people's awards shame on you rats." Another wrote: "Tiwa oooh, we want our award ooooh, Vanessa is the one deserving it oooo. Hope umeelewa ooo".

AKWA IBOM CORPER DROWNS WHILE SWIMMING AT HIS PPA

A corps member serving in Akwa Ibom State drowned on Friday while swimming inside Okat river in Onna LGA of the state.
The body of the corper identified Collins Ohaegbu from Imo State, was recovered on Saturday and has since been deposited at a mortuary in the state.
